FAQ

Home About Us FAQ
What are your hours of operation?
Our hours will likely change between winter and summer. You can always find our hours on the bottom of our website and on our Facebook page.

Monday 11am-8pm
Tues/Wed 11am-10pm
Thursday Closed
Fri/Sat 11am-10pm
Sunday 11am-3pm

Do you take reservations?
We do not. We are a first-come, first-served bistro.
Do you offer table service?
We do not offer table service. When you arrive, you’ll find menus up at the counter and up on the wall. Please order at the counter under the “Order Here” sign, or up at the bar. We will give you a number and we will bring out your drinks, food, and utensils for you.
Are you open for lunch?
Yes, we open at 11am.
Do you have fish & chips (or anything fried)?
Sorry, but we do not have a fryer. Our focus is Simple-Fresh-Local. We do not have plans to fry anything, including fish, potatoes, oysters, etc.
Are you family-friendly/are minors allowed?
Yes! All are welcome. Although those under 21 are not allowed to sit at or congregate around the main bar.
Where can I park?
We know the shared parking lot for Salty Girls is far from large…so we decided to be proactive and provide you with a handy dandy, places-to-park picture map here on the Location page.
Luckily, for a minimal number of paces from our front door, you can find yourself a free parking spot along Washington St or W Cedar St, or even just north of our building on 2nd Ave. Besides – walking a bit earns more calories for more oysters and beer!
How do I get there?
We are located in the heart of downtown Sequim. Our address to plug in to your GPS is 210 W Washington St #3, Sequim.

Off of Hwy 101, there are three exits that bring you into the town of Sequim. The shortest route off Hwy 101 would be to take the Sequim Ave exit (the middle exit). When you hit the stoplight at the intersection with Washington St, take a left to head west. Go one block down and on the right you’ll see the Plaza Center building with Salty Girls in-between Tedesco’s and Peninsula Taproom.

Do you offer takeout?
Yes! And you can order to go right here on our website. Use our friendly online service to peruse the menu, make your selections, and even pay online! Your order will be sent to us and we will get it ready for you for the date and time you choose.

If you are hanging out in the Peninsula Taproom and would like some Salty Girls chow, use our online service and be sure to note that you’re in the Taproom on your order. Your food will be served up through the pass-through window in the Taproom.

You are also welcome to call in an order or come in to the shop in person and order.

Can I get food sent to me while I'm at the Peninsula Taproom?
Absolutely! We’ve partnered with them to provide you some tasty grub without having to leave your seat. You can order right here on our website. Use our friendly online service to peruse the menu, make your selections, and even pay online! Please be sure to note that you’re in the Taproom when ordering.

You are also welcome to walk over to our shop and place your order in person.

However you order, your food will be served up through the pass-through window in the Taproom.

Do you sell fresh seafood to go?
Yes indeed. Not only can you enjoy local bi-valves when dining in, but you can take them home to enjoy in your own recipes!

Our supply, variety, and pricing will vary by what we are able to find in our local area. Visit the Market page here on our website for current info. We will do our best to offer a fine selection of oysters from local bays and canals – available in half dozen or full dozen. We also sell the clams that we use in our Steamers entree. Our goal is to eventually offer fin-fish and crab too.

Are you open on major holidays?
At this time, we plan to be closed on or have limited hours on the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Otherwise, we’ll be open our normal hours.
Is Salty Girls a franchise?
No, Salty Girls Seafood Co. is locally-owned and was created by Lavon Gomes & Tracie Millett. These two entrepreneurs saw a need/want for the community and fulfilled it. They both play active roles in the operation as well.
What do you do with the empty oyster and clam shells?
They are recycled! The empty shells are used as fertilizer in some local gardens, as well as being put back into the bays to help the growth of future bivalves.
Do you have a Happy Hour?

Monday – Friday from 3pm to 5pm. During this time we offer:

  • $1 off bottled beer & cider
  • $1 off pint of draft beer & cider
  • $2 off local wine by the glass
  • $5 well drinks
  • $1 off specialty cocktails
Where do you get your oysters and other seafood?

Check out our Local Suppliers page here.

Do you offer catering?

No, not at this time.

Can I rent your space for a private party or special event?

Please contact us with the time/date you desire and what kind of shin-dig you’re wanting to throw. Let’s talk about it!

Are you hiring?

We will list any current openings on our Jobs page here.

Can I try just one oyster or do a mix-and-match half or full dozen?

Yes!

Do you have crab?

As often as we can! When we find Dungeness crab locally that is of good quality, we will have it available as an entree, and we will have it available for purchase in our Market.

Are you going to add more items to your menu?

Our prepared food menu is minimal but mighty! To help insure our success and ability to serve up very tasty food, we are keeping our menu more limited than what you may be used to seeing. We also want to keep in line with our mission – Fresh-Simple-Local. We are proud of everything that we offer.

But will we try some new things? Absolutely! Watch our Facebook page and stop in for daily, weekly or Sunday brunch specials. Our kitchen crew will be occasionally whipping up fun things like smoked salmon deviled eggs, seafood mac & cheese, specialty sandwiches, and more.

Are you going to have [insert specific seafood here]?
If you have a specific type of oyster, clam, mussel, etc that you enjoy eating and would like to see us offer, please let us know by sending an email to shuckyeah@saltygirlsseafood.com Note – we will keep our focus on the local area.
Can you accommodate a party of ...?
It depends. We have 11 chairs at our main bar; six chairs at the secondary bar; three 2-seat tables; two 4-seat tables; and one couch/lounge area that can seat about 5-7 comfortably. We cannot guarantee a certain table or space for a certain time, and we do not have extra chairs to bring out.
Is your clam chowder gluten free?
Negative. Our homemade clam chowder includes flour.
